Acoustics 2012 joining the 11th Congrès Français d’Acoustique and the 2012 Annual IOA Meeting will be held in Nantes, France from 23 to 27 April 2012. The Congress is co-organised by the French Acoustical Society (SFA) and the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) from UK. This congress is also supported by the European Acoustics Association (EAA).

The Organising Committee of Acoustics 2012 wishes a warm welcome to all of you particularly coming from France, UK but also from Europe and world-wide. He invites you to join us in Nantes to discuss the latest improvements in all the aspects of acoustics including : Architectural acoustics, Physiological and Psychological Acoustics, Musical Acoustics, Speech production, Signal processing, Transducers and imaging, Electro-acoustics, Physical Acoustics, Non-linear Acoustics, Materials, Acoustics and micro-systems, Structural acoustics and vibration, Sound radiation, Active control, Propagation, Aero and Hydro acoustics, Laser ultra-sounds, Underwater Acoustics, Medical applications, Non-destructive testing, Transportation noise, Urban noise, Computational Acoustics, Soundscape, Bioacoustics, etc.

Acoustics 2012 will feature a broad range of invited and contributed papers in structured parallel sessions and poster presentations, together with plenary and keynote lectures by distinguished speakers. There will also be an extensive technical exposition highlighting latest advances in products for all fields of acoustics.

Acoustics 2012 will be held at the Cité Internationale des Congrès de Nantes (La Cité – Nantes Events Center). This congress centre is located in the heart of the city, located at walking distance from the TGV Railway station and a large number of hotels and easily accessible from the Nantes- Atlantique International Airport connected to the main French and European cities by direct or connecting flights. We are sure you will enjoy all aspects of the Congress and Nantes, France’s 6th largest town considered to be “Ville d’Art et d’Histoire” conveniently located for other tourist destinations such as the Atlantic coast, Brittany, the River Loire Castles and Vendée.
